New Zealand: Artist Sam Mahon has expressed his distaste for Environment Minister Nick Smith's position on dairy farm pollution by creating a bust of him out of organic cow manure and resin. The sculpture looks like bronze due to the beeswax finish.
The sculpture was auctioned and after 112 bids it was sold for NZ$3,080. When Smith was asked about the likeness he said that it was "crap art".
"The sculpture has a hollow head, which is very fitting. It is highly polished and sits on the stand slightly to the right of center," said Mahon.
