Football legend and Argentina coach Diego Maradonna has been banned from professional football for two months and fined 25,000 Swiss francs for a sexually-explicit rant he had against the media after his team qualified for the World Cup.
Speaking after Argentina's win against Uruguay last month, Maradonna told journalists to "suck it and keep sucking it". While the troubled footballer was present for the handing down of the ban, he did not speak to media.
FIFA said: "The committee took into consideration the apologies and the sincere remorse shown by Maradonna in its decision, which was communicated to him at the end of the meeting." Argentina had very tense qualifying games for the World Cup.
