Chuck Norris: Under Democrats´ Health Care Plan, Mary Would Have Aborted Jesus

Action star Chuck Norris has penned an article in which he suggests that Jesus Christ would have been "erased from history" if the Holy Land of 2,000 years ago had a public health care plan similar to that proposed by the Democratic Party.

"What would have happened if Mother Mary had been covered by Obamacare?" asks Norris in a column at the Human Events blog. "What if that young, poor and uninsured teenage woman had been provided the federal funds" to have an abortion?

Norris also asked, "Will Obamacare morph into Herodcare for the unborn?" in a reference to the Bible's evil King Herod. He ends his column with a tease to the next, on how the Obama administration is "progressive, politically correct and pro-Muslim."

    WebReporter: Ben_Reilly Show Calling Card
ASSESS this news: BLOCK this news. Reason:
its a good thing is body works...
because his mind doesn´t.

for one obama´s healthcare plan doesn´t cover abortions.

and for two they had abortions back then too... common methods were blunt force tramua, extreme conditions (too hot or too cold), and more recently without proper healthcare coat hanger induced abortions...

back then a major cause of abortion was religion... as it was better to have an abortion in secret than to bare a child out of wedlock, and be considered immoral and have your child condemned simply for being born a bastard (according the the bible that bloodline is condemned for 10 generations so not only would their child be condemned but their kid´s kids and their kids... and their kids... for ten generations)

and for three, abortions SHOULD be covered, otherwise prenancy and birth shouldn´t either... if you can´t support a person´s right to have an publically funded abortion, i don´t support your right to have a publically funded pregnancy/birth either... if you can´t help pay via tax for such medical procedures... why should others be expected to pay for yours. in the case of public healthcare you not even paying for for any specific procedure or medication but rather a very miniscule portions of all covered procures and medicines.

and fourthly, he´s not pro-muslim... he´s just not anti-muslim as the last administration was.

yet another reason why religion does more harm than good... its litterally used to justify idiocy and pointless conflicts... above and beyond being a VERY EASY way of manipulating the feeble minded to stall to even stop progress socially and technologically...

there has historically been no better why to divide people than religion... and the mainstream republican party (not the likes of ron paul or rand paul) thrives on this... and unfortunately at everyone elses expense.

  Don´t know
No one actually knows what the bill says. So it would be rather hard for anyone to make any claim. All I know for fact is the majority of the people in ever poll shows they do not want it. It should be dropped.
  by: hellblazer     12/19/2009 09:54 AM
  Yeah, Chuck ain´t helping the cause;
I´m dead set against socialized health care and abortion regardless of the funding, unless the mother´s life is at risk.
That said, religious fear-mongering is pointless. These issues should be argued on merits that affect everyone, not religious viewpoints that have no place in policy.
  by: Jenkie     12/19/2009 11:19 AM
I would be careful with that majority rules approach, a lot of people get their information from the media, and we all know how reliable the media is.
  by: silentrage   12/19/2009 11:32 AM
Jenkie- I tend to agree with you that abortions should not be paid for by the taxpayers. The comment you made about an exception if the mothers life is at risk sadly is lost when the firght is going on. Politicians that are against abortion in any part will never agree to having one exclusion because they will fear some nefarious plot to sap tax money for the procedure. I had to pay for mine even though I was given a therapeutic abortion because OB/GYN´s are frightened to perform them in case someone gets wind they had done an abortion! I´m sure everyone knows the difference between the two, but no matter what reason you have, at the end of the day it shouldn´t be hidden like a dirty little secret.

  I double dog dare you
to disagree with Chuck Norris... to his face.
  by: C.O.G.   12/19/2009 12:10 PM
  If aborting Jesus....
would have prevented the 2000 years of Holy Wars, Inquisitions, human rights abuses, book burnings, intellectual stagnation and discrimination that followed I think we should pass this Health Bill as soon as possible. It´s too bad it couldn´t have happened 2000 years ago.
  by: valkyrie123     12/19/2009 04:45 PM
  umm, Chuck...
If I knew I were carrying the son of God, I´d be eternally afraid of aborting him. That sounds like a really bad idea.
  by: cranky_paranoid     12/19/2009 05:51 PM
Chuck is ignorant of his own Bible and his own God. What an idiot.
  by: Lurker     12/19/2009 06:23 PM
Jesus was never part of history.
He is a figure of fiction.

If anyone knows of any historical references to Jesus, please post some links with texts from historians form around the time Jesus was supposed to have lived.

Seriously, for people to still believe in a talking snake and a couple of teenagers starting humanity... and that imaginary friend called Jesus who was never mentioned by historians of the time(don´t you think there would be records of him everywhere if he really existed as such a significant figure?)

I always preferred Bruce Lee anyway.
  by: MouseJunkie     12/19/2009 06:24 PM
Jesus walked on water, Chuck Norris kicked the crap out of it.
  by: theironboard     12/19/2009 07:48 PM
I would totally say it to Chucks face
Not only is he old enuff that I could hang with him on his feet, I guarantee I could out-grapple him if worse came to worse....
  by: Jenkie     12/19/2009 08:14 PM
i would hope so... he´s 69 years old and even in his prime he was only a small guy; about 5´7", thats very small for a professional fighter, the shortest ones in the UFC are only 5´5"; not much smaller than chuck norris (lets see chuck norris try to beat randy couture, he´s the oldest professional fighter i can think of; he´s 46... and the likes of BJ Penn would open him up like a can openner)

infact, rumor has had it that to appear taller (and overall bigger) than he was in his shows and movies they always had to have a cast of people his size or smaller.

chuck norris hasn´t been in a real fight in more than 35 years; his fighting career eneded in 1972.

but americans (and i say that because he has no-where near the same popularity anywhere else) need their tough guy... even if he only plays on on
  by: HAVOC666     12/19/2009 08:41 PM
Jesus is very much a historical figure. The Romans executed Jesus under the order of Pontius Pilate, the Roman Prefect of Judea, for acts of sedition against the Roman Empire, at the request of the Jewish Sanhedrin, which felt Jesus had committed blasphemy by proclaiming himself "King of the Jews."

Also generally accepted by scholars is that Jesus´ mother was Mary, that he was a Jewish teacher and that he preached to a small group of followers in Galilee.

  @ben reilly
of course historical jesus and biblical jesus are different...

unless he could actually turn water into wine (rather than a swish like wine) or could actually walk on water... which is impossible by physics... or litterally rasiwe from the dead (as opposed to a coma or something)...

"jesus" many have existed... but not quite the same jesus that people have devoted their lives in worship of.
  by: HAVOC666     12/19/2009 09:37 PM
Well, obviously those things are a matter of faith. I was simply stating that Jeshua of Nazareth really lived, really preached, really had a mom named Mary and was really crucified by the Romans, and it is reasonable for even an atheist to accept those things as sufficiently proven.
  by: Ben_Reilly     12/19/2009 10:04 PM
Pictures and video or it didn´t happen. ;)
  by: Lurker     12/19/2009 10:10 PM
  He said Mary
He just said, implying, mary wanted to abort jesus, implying she didn´t want to give birth, saying she didn´t want to have a baby .. if they would of had the medical care option back then to provide a woman the means to get an abortion, mary would of did it .. what a retard as though he knows her personally and knew what she wanted .. he basically called her trash .. because most pro-lifers view you as trash if you get an abortion .. what a retard(s) :-)

  lol @ Havoc
I´m well aware of chucks age and condition, and of Captain America´s - I mean Randy Couture´s - legacy. My response was in reply to COG´s double-dog-dare.

That said, don´t think for a second that Mr. Norris couldn´t drop the average person in a second with a well placed strike. All it takes is speed and accuracy, not power. The button on the chin doesn´t know how old the fist is....
  by: Jenkie     12/19/2009 11:24 PM
Isn´t it nice that almost everything can be found on wikipedia:

By the way I was Catholic(quite active and stopped short of becoming a priest). Later thought Jesus was just a historical figure. Now I know better. It takes a long time to cleanse your thoughts and beliefs from a Christian upbringing.

In case anyone was wondering - nothing happened and I didn´t read anything to change my mind - it was just a natural result of meditation and thinking about what I saw around me. Basically a logical progression(apart from the fact that religion somehow didn´t feel right)

  by: John E Angel     12/20/2009 03:58 AM
You are correct; almost anything can be found on Wikipedia. And it´s also not, at some universities, accepted as a resource for research due to its inaccuracy.

You seem to misunderstand that Christians accept the existence of Jesus without proof. That is the definition of faith. To the believer, no proof is necessary. To the non-believer, no proof is sufficient. (As someone who almost entered the priesthood, I am sure you recognize the source.)

The fact that you can reject the faith you learned growing up indicates that we are indeed capable of free will. Meditate, explore, do whatever you wish within your system of beliefs. Important events have happened as the result of this process.

  @ Health bill
I will say it 1st. If this bill passes the way it is, Obama will be a 1 term President.

P.s. Norris is a wacko
  by: t-bagger   12/20/2009 07:12 AM
  @ cranky_paranoid
That is probably the paradox of faith. If it was possible to prove that the faith in something, is believing in something that can be proven as real, then it would no longer be faith but knowledge of reality.

On the other hand, the definition of faith makes the belief in anything valid.

Whilst faith itself cannot be questioned(if one believes, then that person believes - it´s personal), it is however possible to question the validity of a certain faith.

Take the faith in a loving and forgiving god for example. From what can be seen in the world today, a hypothetical god or gods are most certainly forgiving, in view of the things that people do to others get away with. Loving on the other hand... . Would a loving god allow its children to kill each other for greed(or any other reason for that matter)?

What I´m getting at is that whilst the existence of god(s) cannot be proven or disproved, the core element of a Christian god who is a loving father is evidently not correct. For this, the pious and religious leaders do of course have an answer "this is to test our faith". Again, considering the number of "tests" humanity is subjected to, god is most certainly not loving.

On an unrelated side note, I lived as a fruitarian for over a year and was never healthier and my strength was well above average for my size. Just a hint for Christians and Jews to read in the book of Genesis what "God" had said should be people´s food. Also one doesn´t even need to kill plants when eating that way. "Thou shall not kill"

Whilst "Thou shall not covet thy neighbours wife" is rather clear(you can shag around in another village), no restriction was made to the killing - i.e. that it is restricted to humans, which a lot of Christians don´t even adhere to anyway.

But then again, as the faith is in a forgiving god, anyone can do anything.

Chuck would not last 3 minutes with me. Unless, if his last names is Liddell, but Norris.. Nah.
  by: skcusswentrohs     12/20/2009 02:59 PM
  @ Skcuss
I know what happened there. For you to make that comment, Chuck Norris (from wherever he is in the world right now) must have roundhouse kicked you so hard and so fast that you didn´t even notice yet. I say this because he obviously roundhouse kicked the sense out of you for thinking you could beat him.

The pain will set in, in 5, 4, 3, 2.....
  by: C.O.G.   12/20/2009 04:58 PM
Yup, after 5,4,3,2,1 I did get up. round house kick (Mawashi Geri)did the trick for few seconds and then.. Click and watch what I did to him.. Hahahaha

  Under Bush
Jesus would have been declared an enemy combatant and would have been flown to a secret prison and tortured , and we would never have heard from him again !

BTW since when is Chuck Norris a voice to be listened to ?
by: Hugo Chavez     12/21/2009 09:46 AM
  I don´t like congress´ idea
But Norriscare isn´t working for me either. Nor is Bushcare.

Uh-oh, watch out! Caregate is coming!
  by: H. W. Hutchins   12/21/2009 10:21 AM
You better watch what you say about Chuck. Just a word of warning. You know where giraffes came from right? One day a horse pissed Chuck Norris off so he round house kicked it in the chin and viola, the worlds first Giraffe!

Since the primary export of Chuck Norris is pain Im just saying watch your back. The guy has awesome powers. You know why the dinosaurs are extinct right? Because they made Chuck mad! All sorts of reasons to watch out for Chuck. From what I hear, the Soviet Union actually decided to call it quits after their leaders watched a Delta Force marathon!

Be afraid. Be very afraid...

  LOL Chuck Norris...
...Jack Palance was so angry and constipated that he only took a dump once in his life... and that turd grew up to be Chuck Norris.
  by: CaptainChainsaw   12/21/2009 04:16 PM
This article ruined every Chuck Norris fact that I have ever heard or will ever hear :(
  by: deadvenusblue     12/21/2009 04:30 PM
  @ Skcuss
I don´t believe it. Your link has to be a farce because it is impossible for Chuck Norris to be defeated. The only time he ever almost tasted defeat was at the hands of Mr. T. They had an exchange of blows with such tremendous impact that a series of events are theorized to have happened. This event is commonly known as The Big Bang Theory.
  by: C.O.G.   12/21/2009 04:36 PM
  It rhymes with smisch-smortion
Although I´ll probably get roundhouse kicked in the head by the infinite reaching ass kicking right leg of Chuck Norris after typing this, he´s assuming that Mary would have wanted to abort the son of God.

And considering she was a virgin (yeah, right) she must have believed it was the son of God, considering that whole "immaculate conception" stuff.
  by: barryman9001   12/21/2009 07:42 PM
The only big bangs coming out of Chuck, are the ones when he lifts his leg on one side and rips a cheese cutter.

I would decimate him in 3,2.. See he is gone.
  by: skcusswentrohs     12/21/2009 08:44 PM
  Norris is pretty much nuts
Chuck Norris indulges violent eliminationist fantasies about liberals if he ran for office

Hannity: Why don´t you run? No no no, there´s a solution -- why wouldn´t you -- Chuck Norris could be governor of Texas one day.

Norris: You know why? Because I´d be sitting here with my opponent, and debating, and then he would start attacking my character, and I´d jump over there and choke him unconscious.

Hannity: You have more control than that!

Norris: I don´t! That´s the problem, you know. I have a thin skin. It was really tough in the film world. And in the political world, you know, I´d be killing half the people.

  How To Take Chuck
Hey Chuck! You´re shoes are untied.

He would go for it. It´s Chuck.
  by: ichi     12/21/2009 10:40 PM
people liek chuck norris shouldnt voice their opinion because they simply arent an authority on the subject. how many ethics classes has he been in? has he even read the proposed new healthcare plans? hes an ACTOR.

would you take legal advice from a plumber?
  by: TheDeeder   12/21/2009 11:11 PM
yah dude i agree. the church should slam Chuck Norris for this, he is calling her trash by suggesting she would have chosen an abortion, and what evidence does he base this on exactly? what evidence is there to show mary did not want to give birth at all?

and im pretty sure if she really didnt want the kid, she would have drowned it in the river or let it starve, the infant mortality rate was ridiculous back then, so the fact she kept him alive through infancy should be proof she did *want* him.
  by: TheDeeder   12/21/2009 11:17 PM
Chuck Norris is who politically, intellectually, whatever? Why do we care what he thinks?
  by: vrich187   12/22/2009 03:55 AM
How I wish others would take the same stance about actors spouting on things political. I get so tired of these celebrities spouting off on politicians and issues when they are less educated than the people they speak about, and know less than a 5th grader about the issue.
  by: cranky_paranoid     12/22/2009 11:01 PM

An abortion. Even if the democrats DID allow it back then. And who says they didn´t have abortion back then. In those times they probably did.

  Actors Make Great Puppets
Just look at Ronnie Reagan.

Funny how some people only complain about actors in politics when the the actors are on the other side. "Bed Time For Bonzo" comes to mind.
  by: ichi     12/23/2009 04:50 AM
You´re right, there are similarities. There´s a reason for that.

A Redeemer was promised right after the fall:

It´s satan´s job to distort everything that is good. His job is to lie, so of course he´s gonna be busy trying to come up with a false Messiah. He was around collecting information on specifics of this Messiah to come.

Satan planned false messiahs. Horus was one of them.

  Abortion Fun Fact
If human life actually does begin at conception (when the egg becomes fertilized), how many human beings die from natural (spontaneous) abortion, also known as miscarriage, within six weeks after conception?

One in four. Mother Nature is the worst "abortionist" by far.
  by: Ben_Reilly     12/23/2009 07:19 AM
You´re wrong. It´s my Metal Zone guitar pedal´s job to distort everything.

  by: Dayron   12/23/2009 09:15 AM
  Re to Ben
Your example only works "if" you agree that the aborted are people.

We can probably agree that your "Mother Nature", which I like to think of as natural circumstance, is also a leading killer of post-natal people as well. Does that justify their murder at our own hands?

My personal conviction is that murder is only justified in self defense, a right that Justice Sotomayer, by her own admission, is not sure we in fact enjoy.

Combine your implication with her´s and you´ve negated any possible justification for abortion, lmao....
