Man Saves His Dogs From Being Euthanized for Attack; Mauled to Death

Police in Ljubljana, Slovenia, said Wednesday that a 52-year-old doctor died in a mauling attack involving three bull mastiffs he won back after they were going to be put down for seriously injuring someone walking by his house in 2006.

A national controversy broke out last June when the court sided with the owner´s legal appeals. An opposition party said that failure to stop the release of the dogs lands on the agriculture minister, and as a result should resign.

The attack occurred on Tuesday in the owner´s garden; by the time police arrived, he was already dead.

The dogs have since been put down.

  Karma?

Or perhaps just balance?

Man saves dogs from being euthanized, dogs euthanize man, dogs get euthanised. There has to be some karmic balance in there somewhere.

Neither.

Just a really crappy day. Or bad luck, as some would say.

Sad. But, at least there is symmetry.

I wonder how many pit bulls it would take

to kill PETA?

Aw, they´re not so bad... Gotta love the way they´ve been advertising their cause lately.

  Not that bad?

Sure there are people who have pit bulls that are mellow, but many people who specifically want this kind of breed want it because of its bad reputation.

A friend of mine says there are no bad dogs, just bad owners. I guess this is one of the few cases where the bad owner suffered the same consequences as the dogs.

They were bull mastiffs, not pit bulls.

  Dear Alannis...

Dear Alannis,

After listening to your song "ironic" I felt that you have a poor understanding of irony.

Please this article to understand it´s actual meaning.

Sincerely..

Oops, I need to read more closely. Thanks for correction.

Alannis was using meta-irony. Think about it...

For a song called Ironic, don´t you think that the fact that all of the examples she gives are non-ironic is just a tad, you know, ironic?

I think the proper term for this is "poetic justice". I´m really having a tough time feeling any kind of pity for him.

  What

ever that doesn´t kill you, makes you stronger..... NOT.

It´s not the Dog that kills, it´s people that kill... Err! I mean whaa.. You know what I mean.
