70% Of Cocaine Seized Contains Deadly Dewormer

Cocaine tainted with Levamisole, an animal dewormer and former colon cancer drug, has been found in 70% of samples seized by the DEA. Agranulocytosis is a life threatening immune system disorder rarely seen except in chemotherapy.

Levamisole-tainted cocaine has caused agranulocytosis in several patients in Canada and the United States. Several patients, mostly crack smokers, started getting black burns all over their body. There has been one known death so far.

The suspected reason levamisole has been added to cocaine is for a suspected increase of D1 dopamine receptors, which cocaine also increases. The highs and craving could both be increased from this combination.

"THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ILLNESS THAT NEEDS TO BE TREATED AT A HOSPITAL. If you use cocaine, watch out for:

* high fever, chills, or weakness
* swollen glands
* painful sores (mouth, anal)
* any infection that won’t go away or gets worse very fast, including sore throat or mouth sores -skin infections, abscesses -thrush (white coating of the mouth, tongue, or throat) -pneumonia (fever, cough, shortness of breath).”

  hmm

So are they basically using this as a filler or does it really just improve the overall quality of the high your suppose to get?

  by: aaxel21   03/10/2010 08:19 PM
  Well

From what I have read its used as a filler and it is supposed to effect the same areas of the brain that nicotine, it also according to the article can make your heart rate increase and make you think you have better quality stuff.

  People are made...

using any substance that is not checked. It is bad enough trusting a doctor today, so lord knows what these people are doing.

  So, The Illegalization

of cocaine is detrimental to the safetey of its users?

Interesting how exclusionary laws meant to insure our safety have a way of working against our safety.

  There is another possible source of this chemical

It´s happened before several times and I have little doubt they would do it again.

How many of you are aware that our government poisoned booze during prohibition killing over 10,000 Americans. It was called the ´Chemist´s Wars´. Poison was added covertly to booze to kill people in hopes of deterring others from drinking. In the 70´s the herbicide Paraquat was sprayed on pot fields by the Government to kill the plants with full knowledge that pot smokers would be inhaling this poison. Our Government is much more interested in their agenda than your health. Seeing that our government is a repeat offender with this MO I would not put it past them to do it again.

You could very well reword that to say something like: "so the use of cocaine is detrimental to the safety its users"

I never could understand why someone would willingly take a drug where the addiction, and the withdrawal symptoms, are so well known. I guess some people will do just about anything for their Colombian drug masters. You all know that smoking used to make you "cool" too.

I always said the drug problem could be eliminated if all the drugs were intercepted, laced with ricin, or some other poison, and then sent on to the users.

  Legalize it

Does anyone else see a problem with this drug war?
A misinformed public, and public with a misunderstanding of what the drug actually is?

Having it illegal is toxic, if you look at prescription drug use , chemical drug use(inhalants), CAFFEINE, FAST FOOD...NICOTINE< ALCOHOL!!!

Because of the overall lack of knowledge, and perception, the public has this problem won´t ever be solved modernly.
Its useless to think that ´drug war´ will ever be anything other than an excuse to bolster defense(guns) and have our officers chase these enterprises. Not only must they find low level sales associates, but managers, regional managers, presidents, security for these drug enterprises.
I know that societies should not have this many criminals, these drug business were created by governments, either way you look at it.

Thats why I believe in the the legalization of all drugs, and I know use won´t go up because of it. Guns are legal, Alcohol is legal is everybody a gun firing drunk, no!
By having it illegal(drugs), it glamorizes them, because once someone becomes involved in that "world" it makes that individual a spectacle, like a pirate. Now anybody who knows this person is some who knows a drug dealer. The fact that there is a misinformed public about what these drugs are creates a vacuum and instead of seeing medicinal substances, and plants and having a respect for these things, they get exploited and abused. If you look at American society and witness the lack of appreciation for the environment and respect to nature and especially life, its no wonder we have such a infectious war.

I know this may be stating the obvious to many, but I if I don´t say it this way, when I´m in a situation where it is not known.

Yes everyone starts using cocaine because of some power held over them by their Columbian masters.
