Denton police arrested 31-year-old registered sex offender Jeremy Daniel Wicker on Thursday. He is charged with harassment and making a terroristic threat. He had just signed a plea deal after he was charged with felony soliciting of a minor online.
He had posted a Craigslist ad for a female lead singer for his Christian band, and an unnamed woman responded. Wicker told her to call him to arrange an audition, but after she called she and her fiancé say they got over 50 text messages from him.
"I want your wife hurt bad," "I´m outside," "I have the apartment number," and "Don´t make me do it" were just some of the texts sent. He has admitted to the texts but said he was never going to hurt her.
