The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has announced that it cannot promise to pay back the money taken from the National Lottery in Britain to fund the London Olympic games in 2012. Over £2 billion has been used.
The initial plan was to reimburse the National Lottery with money gained from selling land after the games, but now ODA chairman John Armitt has said: "I would not guarantee anything." He was speaking before the Public Accounts Committee.
The PAC said in response to Mr. Armitt´s assertation: "The Lottery has given up £2bn to good causes to you. It is absolutely essential they get some of the money back."
