Infantino, the company behind popular baby slings in North America, has announced it will be recalling one million slings following the deaths of three infant babies who were being transported in them. The soft fabric slings are popular.
Overall, a million "SlingRider" and "Wendy Bellissimo" slings are being recalled in the United States, and 15,000 of them in Canada. The company says it is working closely with the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
President Jack Vresics said: "Our top priority is the safety of infants whose parents and caregivers use our products." The company is offering a free cart cover, baby carrier or activity gym to those customers affected by the recall.
