New York: Prosecutors are seeking to have 33-year-old Nushawn Williams declared a sexual predator and placed in a mental hospital over a decade after he was jailed for deliberately infecting underage girls with HIV. His youngest victim was 13.
Williams is attempting to avoid being committed. He says he is sorry, and claims that he was unaware that he had HIV and didn´t know how old his sexual partners were. He wants to help others learn from his mistakes.
"I put myself at risk as well as my sexual partners by not wearing protection... I was very ignorant, young and naive. Not only did I hurt myself with this disease, I hurt a number of people, families and females that I was involved with," he said.
