Islamic Militants Kill Two, Arrest Ten for Watching Soccer World Cup on Television
Armed Islamic militants in Somalia have arrested ten people for watching the soccer World Cup on television. Two people who tried to flee when the insurgents stormed the house were shot and killed.
Sheik Mohamed Abu Abdalla says those captured will be tried in an Islamic court. Islamic militia groups had warned citizens that soccer would be considered incompatible with Islam as it is a product of Christian cultures.
Much of the Somalia´s capital Mogadishu, along with the central and southern areas of the country, are under the control of Hizb al-Islam and Al-Shabab - two militant Islamic groups.
Few days ago I posted about the taliban hanging a 7yrs old boy because he fraternized with the foreigners. It must have got blocked since I can not find the post anymore. If we have a category called WTF, then posts will be a lot less likely to get blocked.

I´m so tired of hearing this crap. If this is true then why in hell aren´t the good ones standing up against the bad ones for making a mockery of their religion. Seems to me all we see is the bad ones. How do you explain that?
I am not a religious person, and I would see it as progress if all people learned to live without all religions, but when you talk about "exterminating" Islam, than it makes you sound just as bad as any of the worst religious psychos.

It´s sad really all the innocent kids who will be born, indoctrinated and then oppressed by groups that base their laws on a world from 1000 years ago.
Seems like muslims as a collective religion can´t clean house. So their going to be seen by the rest of the world based on the actions of groups like this.

These groups aren´t religious groups. They are fanatical cults that use some form of religion, contort it to the point that the only recognizable part of it is the name. There have been cults like this for pretty much every religion... Islam, Christianity, Hindu, Budhism, etc.
It´s like how a good knife in the right hands (say a trained chef) can be an awesome tool, and in the wrong hands... a dangerous weapon.
It´s the same object with drastically different results depending on whose hands it´s in.

That does makes them a religious group. A religion is an engine that spawns community and cults. You want to measure a religion at a certain time and space, measure them by the communities and cults they produce.
Every religion out there is being judged by its good and bad, islam is no exemption. It would be insulting and patronizing to muslims if you were to spare them the criticism.
