Dead Chess Legend Bobby Fischer Dug up to Settle Paternity Claims

Iceland: The body of chess grandmaster Bobby Fischer has been exhumed at the behest of the Supreme Court after a woman claimed that her nine-year-old was fathered by the giant of the chess world.

Fischer died two-and-a-half years ago. His $2 million estate is in dispute with his wife, the IRS, two nephews in the United States and possibly this woman laying claim to it.

Fischer came to prominence with victory over then Russian reigning world champion Boris Spassky in 1972. He changed his citizenship from American to Icelandic five years ago so he wouldn´t be deported to America.
