Russia: Five self-declared Satanists have been jailed for murdering and partially eating four teens. A sixth member of the group was declared insane and committed for compulsory psychiatric treatment.
Due to the horrific details and the fact that four of the accused were minors the court hearings were not open to the public. The four minors were sentenced to 10 years in jail and an adult was jailed for 20 years.
The group reportedly carried out the crimes as part of an initiation ritual. Prior to the murders the group had been involved in animal sacrifice.
