The Obama Administration Secret Amnesty Memo

Iowa Republican Sen. Charles Grassley obtained an 11-page memo titled "Administrative Alternatives to Comprehensive Immigration Reform."

Senator Grassley said "the intent of the memo is to find very secret creative ways to unilaterally circumvent the law and have a backdoor to amnesty."

Within the memo it also states "The following options .. used alone or in combination .. have the potential to result in meaningful immigration reform absent legislative action."

I find the Republican outrage over illegal aliens laughable at best. They are merely a bunch of hypocrites. How many of them hire illegal aliens and are actually responsible for the whole mess?

A shade different from:

  Headline Changed

@ichi

I concur.

CNN changed the title 3 times since yesterday, I watched, I also seen them delete all comments on that report about 5 or 6 times and the majority of comments were not offensive at all. However about the title, we are suppose to create a title that refers to the story without really copying the title so in the spirit of the report and the contents of it is "shady"

  by: Key2000     07/31/2010 07:34 PM
  @Key2000

No because "shady" is a subjective term that means different things to different people, it´s impossible to determine objectively whether or not something is ´shady´. Ergo can´t use the word in a news headline if you´re trying to report the truth.

  by: jamesmc   07/31/2010 09:03 PM

The news here is Senator Grassley has called the memo "conspiring"and "scheming", which is only news if anyone cares what he thinks.

  Illegal is illegal

is BS. I hate how people see immigrants like they are beneath all of us legal citizens. Nothing humanitarian about that.

Obviously the system isn´t working when it comes to immigrants becoming legal, & counter productive. This is creating unnecessary hate & the only solution people against a humanitarian solution would rather "them" go back to where they came from because "they" are causing so many problems for us. What a over generalized stupid broad solution that isn´t helpful for anyone.

Haters keep hating because of their lack of education, humanitarianism, & being manipulated.

Obama illegal immigrant stance = Bush illegal immigrant stance stance.

Hypocrites are those that are outraged now, but not under bush.

If you love unions and paying more for goods and services, then by all means ship all the unskilled labor out of the country.

Take away entitlements and illegals wouldn´t be an issue.

"If you love unions and paying more for goods and services, then by all means ship all the unskilled labor out of the country."

Unions want to ship work overseas?

That does not make any sense.

  One of the surprises

One of the surprises we´ll find come next year, is that 99% of us had no idea what was included in the "new and improved" healthcare legislation, the dupes, er, dopes, who backed this administration will be astonished!

Starting in 2011, (next year folks), your W-2 tax form sent by your employer will be increased to show the value of whatever health insurance you are given by the company. It does not matter if that´s a private concern or governmental body of some sort. If you´re retired? So what; your gross will go up by the amount of insurance you get.

You will be required to pay taxes on a large sum of money that you have never seen. Take your tax form you just finished and see what $15,000 or $20,000 additional gross does to your tax debt. That´s what you´ll pay next year. For many, it also puts you into a new higher bracket so it´s even worse.

This is how the government is going to buy insurance for the 15% that don´t have insurance and it´s only part of the tax increases.

Not believing this? Here is a research of the summaries ..

On page 25 of 29: TITLE IX REVENUE PROVISIONS- SUBTITLE A: REVENUE OFFSET PROVISIONS-(sec. 9001, as modified by sec. 10901) Sec.9002 "requires employers to include in the W-2 form of each employee the aggregate cost of applicable employer sponsored group health coverage that is excludable from the employees gross income."

Joan Pryde is the senior tax editor for the Kiplinger letters. Go to Kiplingers and read about 13 tax changes that could affect you. Number 3 is what is above.

  I´m Skeptical

And I quote from the source: It was obtained by Iowa Republican Sen. Charles Grassley, who said . . .

Republicans say a lot of things trying to discredit Obama. How much of it comes from the back room of Fox News?

They are dong a massive "Throw accusations against the wall and see what sticks," campaign.

Republicans love the cheap labor too much to really want to deport them all.

Do you understand what you read? Here is your #3, cut and pasted EXACTLY as it is on Kipplinger´s.

Read the last sentence.

3. A requirement that businesses include the value of the health care benefits they provide to employees on W-2s, beginning with W-2s for 2011. The amount reported is not considered taxable income.

Washington (CNN) -- Senate Republicans have an internal memo from the Department of Homeland Security that they say shows the Obama administration "conspiring" and "scheming" to allow millions of illegal immigrants to stay and work in the United States.

that´s not cool. No, people that didn´t follow the legal process to enter this country like so many immigrants before them do not deserve to stay here. They deserve to Go the F@%# home. There is a legal process in place to handle immigration. If you turn a blind eye to this crime, what will you turn a blind eye to next? Murder, child porn. What abstract aberration of truth will you concoct to make a CRIME seem a merely laughable matter, of no offense.

I like the "just get rid of 21 million illegals" bit. Please share, exactly how would you do that? It´s ok, I know you have no clue. Just more over-simplistic thinking that doesn´t address reality. Kudos.

Way to blame the republicans for the dem´s underhandedness. "it´s ok for my party to be corrupt."

I wasnt happy with Bush´s immigration either.

Why is there a healthcare debate in this thread?

  lol burnfactor

thats quite a leap, from immigration to child porn. Way to try and demonize anyone who isn´t vehemently anti-immigration. I´ll pose the same question to you. How exactly would you round up and deport 21 million people? How would you ensure, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that no new illegals could come in? Otherwise the deporting would be for naught. What would be the cost involved? Is it even possible? Start coming up with nuts and bolts solutions if you´re so upset over illegals, otherwise spouting your over-simplistic thoughts could make you look like just another ignorant knob.

  by: tuogh     08/01/2010 07:22 PM
  hmm

@jamesmc .. like I said in previous post, that part wasn´t actually there until recent .. anyway

If you had tickets to a sports event, concert, or on an airplane, and when you got to your assigned seat, and someone else was in that seat, what would you do? You would call for a person in charge of ticket checking and have the person in your seat removed. You would be properly asked to show your ticket, and you would gladly and proudly do so, for you have bought and paid for that seat. The person in your seat would also be asked for a ticket, and they would not be able to produce one. They would be called "gate crashers" and they would be properly removed. Now in this huge stadium called the USA we have had millions of gate crashers. We have been asking security to check for tickets and remove the gate crashers. We have been asking security to have better controls in checking at the door. We have asked security to lock the back doors. Security has failed us. They are still looking the other way. They are afraid to ask to see the tickets.

Many people say there is unlimited seating, and whether there is or not, no one should be allowed in for free while the rest of us pay full price!

In section AZ, of Stadium USA, we have had enough of the failures of Security. We have decided to do our own ticket checking, and properly remove those who do not have tickets. Now it seems very strange to me that so many people in the other 49 sections, and even many in our own section do not want tickets checked, or even be asked to show their ticket! Even the head of Security is chastising us, while not doing his own job which he has sworn to do.

My own ticket has been bought and paid for so I am going to proudly show it when asked to do so. I have a right to my seat, and I want the gate crashers to be asked to show their tickets too. The only reason that I can imagine anyone objecting to being asked for their ticket is that they are in favor of gate crashing, and all of the illegal activities that go with it. Such as drug smuggling, gang wars, murder, human smuggling for profit, and many more illegal and inhumane acts that we are trying to prevent with our new legislation. Is that what I am hearing from all of the protestors such as Phoenix Mayor Gordon, US Rep. Grijalva, even President Obama? If you are not in favor of showing tickets, (proof of citizenship, passport, green card, or other legal document) when asked, as I would proudly do, then you must be condoning those illegal activities.

Any time I have traveled to a foreign country (even in the Military wearing my uniform) I still had to show I.D.

Not ever thinking they were racial profiling me, nor any of the other Sailors or Marines I was with. That thought never crossed our minds and certainly does not apply to today´s standards. It is standard procedure anywhere in the world.

I still have to show my papers/passport when I go to Mexico or Canada or else I get arrested for NOT carrying my papers. Why is that so hard to comprehend?

  by: Key2000     08/01/2010 07:37 PM
  here´s an resolution

1) First and foremost secure the border. Retain this country´s sovereignty. The “fence” would actually be a dual wall system.

2) Mandatory E-verify for every company within the US borders punishable by loss of business license. Second offense lose business license permanently. The simpliest and cost effective way to stop businesses from hiring illegal immigrants is to let them pay for all deportation charges for each illegal found in their employment. This will encourage businesses to hire only documented workers using E-Verify. Also it will take the burden of the cost off of the taxpayers.

3) Common sense immigration law, if someone is stopped for a violation it must be mandatory proof of citizenship by either DL, ID and/or green card.

4) As for the illegals here now, you´re here illegally and you go back. Children born here unfortunately can either go back with immediate family or left with relatives. These illegals made their bed so to speak by creating their situation and therefor must be held responsible for their actions.

5) Revoke all drivers licenses from illegals. Use E-Verify when qualifying
New Drivers Licenses

6) Stop ALL welfare to illegals. No benefits whatsoever.

7) Make English the nations official language.

8) No chance at citizenship if you break any US law while not being a citizen.

9) End NAFTA ASAP

.. Below is the current immigration laws of Mexico ..

1. If you migrate to this county, you must speak the native language.

2. You have to be a professional or an investor. No unskilled workers allowed.

3. There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools, no special ballots for elections, all government business will be conducted in our language.

4. Foreigners will NOT have the right to vote no matter how long they are here.

5 Foreigners will NEVER be able to hold political office.

6. Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs.

7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.

8. If foreigners do come and want to buy land that will be okay, but options will be restricted. You are not allowed waterfront property. That is reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.

9. Foreigners may not protest; no demonstrations, no waving a foreign
flag, no political organizing, no badmouthing our president or his policies, if you do you will be sent home.

10. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be hunted down
and sent straight to jail.

Please provide a source for that list. I don´t doubt a lot of it, as it lists things that are pretty standard for all sovereign nations regarding immigration/residency policies. The way some things are worded make it look like it was cocked up during translation.

"like I said in previous post, that part wasn´t actually there until recent .. anyway"

Well I hope you dont complain when the SNers assume you form your opinions based on the news you see, because I think it´s fair to assume that that final clause had been in the legislation when it was passed and not added afterwards.

  by: jamesmc   08/01/2010 08:45 PM
  Load of crock

"Many people say there is unlimited seating, and whether there is or not, no one should be allowed in for free while the rest of us pay full price!"

The rest of us paid full price huh? The rest of us being those who where born here & that we are exempt for paying full price.

You know what you are right Key2000.

We should kick everyone out of the US accept NATIVE AMERICANS. Because you know history is a biotch, & we raped the land from the natives & all so we should all leave because of our ancestors actions.

Your stadium analogy is so simplistic for such a complex problem. The problem isn´t illegal immigrants being over here because that fact already in YOUR MIND makes them beneath you because your all high & mighty over here you diserve to be here when you possible did nothing to be here, when they tried everything to get out of the hell hole they came from to have a chance to live their own lives not lives they are told to live (that is how it is mostly in the world accept the US). But you want these people who you don´t even know (99.99998% of the time) out of here because they are breathing "your air" & they deserve NOTHING BUT HATE from you & IGNORANCE.

You have no compassion, nor try to understand what is happening here. Instead you jump on the hate bandwagon. Everyone deserves to be here. Our laws are creating the problem & those who were rich enough to pay to be here & to pay to get their citizenship faster than the huge @ss line that people have to wait are ok in your book, while those who I know personally who have been here for 40 fkin years & still waiting in line is BS. & you apparently support this.

THE PROBLEM IS THE SYSTEM NOT THE PEOPLE.

Conservatives like to blame unions for companies moving their factories to other countries. Instead of telling the truth that these POS companies don´t give a flying fish about their workers and put profit ahead of health and safety, they blame the unions. Companies these days don´t see anything wrong with them violating health and safety rules. They want to pay workers slave wages and work them 84 hours a week. There is your conservative compassion. plus they can evade taxes and empty the US treasury.

Sorry to say that most of the people who are against the Health Care Reforms are unaware of what these reforms are.

There is NOTHING in there that should concern you unless you actually like people being refused insurance for a pre existing condition.

Sara Palin lied to you, and you posted a link without reading it.

Perhaps you dont watch "sarah crap", and presumably that includes fox news who have her up on a pedistal. Being properly informed doesn´t mean just not watching Sarah, you also have to take the time to read the news that you do read with a critical eye and perhaps even thinking ´hey, this sounds a bit suspect - how about I go and read the original text of the bill and see if that´s what it actually says´.

Then you wouldn´t have embarrassed yourself here.

Ok, let´s stop the name calling.

The opposition to the Health Care Reforms are often based on misinformation. Misinformation EXACTLY like the misinformation YOU spread here.

I read and listen to those who oppose what they call "Obama care" and try to see their point. Often, there is no truth to what they are opposed to.

I would love to hear EXACTLY what there is in that bill that people don´t like.

As for mandatory health insurance, that is our system. If someone chooses to not have it, they are gamboling, expecting the rest of us to pay if they are in need, which is the Socialism they say they don´t like so much.

Besides that, the idea came from the right (Heritage Foundation) and implemented by a Republican governor. Look it up.

So, what EXACTLY is in the health care bill that you don´t like so much? And be aware that your facts will be checked.

Jim, about the healthcare thing, that was just a little post, but the issues on immigration, the 2 postings after that one, I am more apt to ponder .. anyhow, I´m watching the next 3 years .. we haven´t hit bottom yet, it will be interesting to see the next 3 years .. most people are conditioned to believe all the junk the politicians put out, over and over again, they make the same promises and people keep sucking it up, over and over again .. do the same thing and get the same results .. it´s not the dumbing down of america (though it is active), but it´s the dumbing .. anyway, about healthcare, they say it´s not taxable but how many times have you seen them say something simular and then turn around about 6 months later or 1 yr and do the very thing they said they wasn´t gonna do? how many times have you seen that? .. anyway have a good day :-)

ps I´m not embarrassed .. :D

What is pretty plain to me is that "you guys" really don´t know why you oppose health care reform, even though it is REFORM, it FIXES some problems. We will be better off because of it, but "you guys" just oppose it because those you listen to LIE to you.

Quote:illegal is illegal is BS

Since when does illegal mean anything but?
Every country has immigrations laws and they are enforced. It is only the US that gets damned if we enforce ours. If the law means nothing then why have boarders and laws at all? Hell just let everyone in. Who cares who they are right?
Unlike most other countries, here in the US the goody two shoe people like adding insult to injury by allowing the Mexican government who´s immigrations laws are enforced, and some of our own people damn us if we try to enforce our laws.We actually have senators stand an applaud. FRIGGIN SAD!!! Fortunately the majority of Americans have a problem with that. And with just cause. Illegal is illegal no matter how you word it or what it creates.
Doesn´t it strike you odd according to this article Obama and friends are looking for a backdoor to sneak the amnesty in. Not because they give a flying F about these people. They simply want the votes and some of us bought into their bs about how they care.
Our boarders should have been protected years ago.

Here it is illegal to have your dog i the local park, but if you know to say it´s a "Service Animal," it´s ok. I know people who paid a fine of $270 because they didn´t know the secret word.

Nothing is illegal anymore if you are lacking in morals and are wiling to tell any lie that fits.

  by: Jim8   08/03/2010 06:13 AM
  @ Jim8

I understand what your saying but truth being if a Service Dog is allowed then that is not illegal. If you lie and your dog is not a service dog then you committed a crime and that is illegal. Illegal is illegal no matter how you word it.

  by: hellblazer     08/04/2010 06:33 AM
  @hellblazer

There are far fewer rules about service animals than you realize. I just learned of this because of a neighbor with a service pit bull that can go anywhere because his owner nows the secret word, "Service Animal."

Read bout it on the ADA website. All you have to do is lie, and there are a lot of people doing it.

Not really related to illegal immigration, except for the way our society is headed for the dump because there are few rules that can be enforced anymore.

Quote: except for the way our society is headed for the dump because there are few rules that can be enforced anymore.

Couldn´t agree more. This is exactly the way the country is heading. Hopefully the majority will wake up and turn this around. Screw what the rest of the world thinks and enforce our laws. That is why they are there.
I saw France is enforcing their immigration laws yet the SN liberals had nothing to say about that. Like I said before it is only the US that gets bashed for trying to enforce ours. http://shortnews.com/...
This is what happens when you are ruled by a minority.
