Motorists are driving speeds up to 180km/h near Newcastle, Australia, to summon the ghost of dead motorcyclist, a 20-year-old killed in a crash with a speeding driver in the area three years ago.
As strange as it may sound attempts to summon the ghost are numerous enough for police to issue an official warning. A few videos on YouTube, allegedly show a ghostly bright light appearing in the rear windscreen of cars traveling at high speed.
"It´s alleged that if you drive at speed in a manner dangerous, a bright white light comes in behind you and that´s what they are calling the Lemon Tree Passage ghost," a police spokeswoman said. Locals say the ghost only chases dangerous drivers.
