100s of Unborn Babies Found Dumped in Buddhist Temple

In central Bangkok, inside a Buddhist temple, plastic bags with unborn baby corpses have been found hidden by a temple staff member. It is assumed that the bags are from illegal abortion clinics and now investigations are underway.

A rescue worker with the Poh Teck Tung foundation hinted that hundreds of corpses could eventually be uncovered.

“Our figure we received a moment ago is 240, but we think that there are between 300 to 500 foetuses as we have only searched half the area", he said.

sanctuary? Or due to a belief in karma? Any answers anyone?

yeah, why would someone do this? I do not profess to be an expert on any religion, let alone buddhism, but what would the reasoning be for this act..?

  Just guessing here
Maybe the "temple staff member" (i.e. ´acting alone´) was going to burn them.
Kind of like how Christian anti-abortion folks will go through the dumpsters at abortion clinics, retrieve the aborted fetuses, and give them a Christian burial.

Like I said, Just guessing.

un-born baby better? Does a baby have feelings etc while in the womb? Do you have any feelings towards a child still in the womb?

If you have answered no to these 2 questions you maybe unfeeling/ dead yourself.

"Does a baby have feelings etc while in the womb?"
I don´t know, and neither do you.

"Do you have any feelings towards a child still in the womb?"
Yes, and because of that I would never do anything to my body that would hurt the baby within. Yah know, had I a womb. But I´m not these women and I would never tell someone else what to do with their own bodies.

upon ones body by a child within could seem like a problem and I can understand that. I can also understand that to put the questions forward as I did could sound like an affront to the ´freedom of individual women´ to choose what they do with their bodies. Although that is the popular conclusion I guess. It was not was what I was saying. It is hard to advocate for or on the side of a child that is still in the womb (and obviously we cannot speak on their behalf). The flip side of that is it is not a good thing to right off the feelings of those who have lost a child before they are born either. To catagorise a child that is ´unborn´ as being inconsequential is also an affront to those who have lost a child before they are born and also an affront (potentially) to those that have jealously guarded their growing child in their womb.

It is a hard one to label, as each situation is different.

Some things we would like to easily place in a compartment.

Case by case contexts are difficult. And it is hard to make a judgement on these. However an advocate for an unborn should not be shot down, just on the basis of a womens needing a say on what happens to their bodies a person should not be shot down. But to look at them as being mutually exclusive is to be ignorant also!
