Salma Hayek Confesses She Was an Illegal Immigrant

Actress Salma Hayek confessed that she lived illegally in the US in 1991. She said: "It was for a small period of time but I still did it."

Her visa expired while she attended a Los Angeles university, so she had to go back to Mexico and renew the visa.

She said additionally to the immigration restrictions, there were more severe barriers when she came to Hollywood as she faced racial discrimination by American directors and others.
