Student Saves Teacher´s Life in Class

Tristin Stavig, a 14-year-old High School freshman from Scottsboro, AL saved her teacher, Deborah Jones´s, life using the Heimlich Maneuver when Jones was choking on a pop tart a few weeks ago.

Stavig credits her knowing the maneuver from watching a recent episode of the Disney show "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody". Stavig said "Nobody was doing anything and I was scared, and I thought maybe if nobody did anything she wouldn´t make it."

Jones said, "The second time she did it, it just popped out, and I could breath. I turned around and looked at her and said ´You do realize you just saved my life´." Stavig is being awarded by both the mayor´s office and the Board of Ed.

  I know

she is only 14 but she should go to school to be a doctor. Would be a hell of a thing to put on a resume, saved first life at age 14, awarded both by the Majors Office and the Board of Ed. etc.
