Jerry Brown was re-elected as 39th Governor assuming his old office after 36 years. Speaker John Perez (D-L.A.) said he was confident Brown would work with lawmakers, something Arnold Schwarzenegger(R) wasn´t known for.
In his address Brown said "I get to follow in my father´s footsteps once again, and 36 years after my first inauguration as governor, even follow in my own."
Brown will reveal a proposed budget with "painful cuts" and promises "no more smoke and mirrors". He also promised to return power to cities and towns and put in places only taxes voted for by the people.
