Milwaukee Diocese Files Chapter 11 Citing Abuse Suits

The archdiocese announced "This action is occurring because priest-perpetrators sexually abused minors," referencing accusations of 200 deaf boys being molested by Father Lawrenece Murphy at St. John´s School for the Deaf over the course of decades.

Even the Vatican was sued by one of the victims in an attempt to discover the names of thousands of other Catholic priests who also have credible accusations against them.

Arthur Budzinksi, one of the deaf victims of Murphy, said, (Murphy) "may have stolen our bodies," but the archbishops, clerics, cardinals, and pope "stole our voices."

  just a ploy

This is just a ploy so top church staff can avoid tough questioning under oath about their complicity in clergy sex crimes.

They´re declaring bankruptcy, not being declared innocent in court. Bankruptcy does not absolve lawsuits.

  A long time ago..

I was doing cable installs and at one particular job, it was for a church that one of their priests was being accused of abuse. One of their secretaries said "Isn´t it awful that he is being accused of such a thing?" I replied, "Yes, it is awful that someone was abused by someone they were supposed to be able to trust."
She didn´t say anything after that.
