Twitter Is for Sale, Valued at $10bn
 

Microblogging network Twitter has been valued at $10 billion. It is for sale, which is one of the biggest sales for Silicon Valley standards.

Twitter´s forecast sales are only at around $110m. The two companies that are in the financial position to pay the price are Google and Facebook.

But the question is whether Google wants to risk taking over another company as YouTube proved to be not very profitable at the moment.

but how exactly does twitter make any money at all? I cant recall ever seeing an add, and I dont pay anything.

I assume that your data is sold in some form or fashion. Twitter has access to online habits, location, age, gender.
