Andrew Myers, a young artist from Laguna Beach, creates portraits out of screws. By using different depths when drilling in the screws, the portraits become three-dimensional.
Each portrait contains between 6,000 and 10,000 screws and takes up to 6 months until it´s finished. Myers sells his artwork for up to $35,000.
However, Myers says he doesn´t work only for the money. Instead, he wants to "reach an untraditional audience", like the blind who can touch the screw portraits to visualize what they look like.
