Records from cell phones taken from Raymond Davis have shown that the CIA is now recruiting young men FOR the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). 33 phone calls were traced to 27 known militants belonging to the TTP and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi sectarians.
“Davis was instrumental in recruiting young people from Punjab for the Taliban to fuel the bloody insurgency.” The Agent also attempted to undermine the security of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons while organizing a Taliban cell to aid in this endeavor.
Davis still maintains that the two ISI agents he shot were bandits while Paki authorities claim that Davis knew them long before he murdered them. Relations between the US and Pakistan have been strained by a flood of CIA agents to the war zone.
