Two Climbers Die in French Alps

Two British climbers (22 and 24 years old) were killed as they fell 2,500ft to their deaths on Friday. The men were situated near Chamonix when the accident happened.

Less then four weeks before the accident, Scottish student Robbie Cammack (19) died in the same region when he fell down 1,300ft. He and his climbing partner, who was rescued, became trapped in a storm.

Cammack wanted to scale the Frendo Spur on the Aiguille du Midi.
