Italy: Forensic Expert to Testify in Amanda Knox Appeal

DNA expert Patrizia Stefanoni, who examined the DNA evidence in the Knox case in 2007, will appear in court Saturday to testify in the appeal of the convict.

This is followed by the testimony of two scientific experts, Stefano Conti and Carla Vecchiotti, who claim the DNA traces on the two pieces of evidence, a kitchen knife and a clasp of the victim´s bra, are unreliable.

American student Knox was sentenced to 26 years in prison for killing her roommate Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy. She is currently appealing her conviction.
