Study: Religious People Happier in Difficult Circumstances

A new study by researchers in the United States suggests that religion can help people through hard times.

The study, which considered data from 2005-2009 and people from 150 countries, shows that religious people are happier in hard times than those who don´t believe in any sort of god.

"But in non-religious societies or more benign societies where many people´s needs are met, religious people aren´t happier -- everyone´s happier," study leader Ed Diener of the University of Illinois explained.

Faith is a real help to people who´ve been gifted with it. Regrettably, I am not one of them.

It does not benefit me at all to have john tomcock living happy in a pile of mud. I benefit when he is angry and upset at his bad living condition and then he works hard with me so we improve our condition and be happy and productive.

Perhaps this explains why the crappiest countries (and states) in the world are religious. They are happy about it. They think they will get another shot in another world.

Surely taking such a firm stance can only mean you have proof they won´t. Can you share these facts with the rest?
