At Least 12 People Missing After Overcrowded Boat Loses Balance

 

According to authorities, at least 12 people are missing after a small boat carrying 41 passengers capsized in the Kamal River in eastern Nepal.

17 passengers reportedly could swim to the shore. A news agency reports that the boat was overcrowded and “lost balance while negotiating rapids”.

The search for the missing passengers is continuing.
