Study Shows Most Tablet Users Are Highly Educated, Well-Off News Lovers

A study released this week suggests that owners of tablets are better off financially and highly educated.

Also it has been found that most of them (62 percent) are employed full-time and are big news fans. "About half (53 percent) get news on their tablet every day, and they read long articles as well as get headlines," the study authors claim.

46 percent of tablet users are between 30 to 49 years old. People over 65, in turn, are not likely to own a tablet.

"In a study paid for by who? "Apple??"" :-P

Well, ... if you just buy a tablet and read the news daily, you´ll get rich and become highly edumacated... *LOL*

I read just find on my phone. And my android phone will do everything your android tablet will do... I see no point in carrying two devices around.

IMO - The better question would be, ... "How many tablets are currently sitting in peoples homes that haven´t been used in the last 5-7 days.." Tablets are another device that people buy whether they have any need for them or not. I chose to evaluate my need for a tablet over a year ago. Afterwhich I determined that for anything I don´t want to sit at my computer to read, ... I´ll do on my phone.

  Haha Yeah

I was just about to say the same thing:

"Study Shows That if you Buy a Tablet, you become well educated and well-off!"

My sister is a highly educated nurse that went to one of the nation´s premier nursing colleges. She bought one, but IMO it was a ridiculously stupid purchase.

One thing they don´t teach you in college: common sense.

  Ha ha

Most of the people I see with tablets (all 5 of them) have money (who else can afford them?) but how smart is it to spend big bucks on something you rarely use?

I bought a notebook to replace my dead desktop. It has a touchscreen, bluetooth, fingerprint reader, DVD burner, 3 usb ports AND I can spin the screen and lay it flat on the keyboard and use it just like a tablet - except I have full computer power (Penryn processor/Win7 Ultimate), not some limited tablet cpu running a cut down OS. Runs every program I throw at it.

I´m not highly educated, not well-off. but I love my Short News!

However, if someone would care to enlighten me by DONATING a shiny, new tablet to me (64GB?), I´ll certainly consider altering my opinion.

Sounds like they are mindless sheep who swallow whole anything the mainstream media puts out, and have a hissy fit if anyone questions the "slant" of the medid...
