According to data by the Transportation Department´s Bureau of Transportation Statistics, airlines had one of their best years on record for taking off and arriving on time in 2011.

Last year almost 85 percent of flights arrived within 15 minutes of their scheduled time and only 0.8 percent of flights were canceled.
