A cab driver returned $450,000 worth of gold a taxi customer left behind in his cab and got a $10,000 tip. It took the driver three days to get around to bringing back the gold. The loss of 289 ounces of gold didn´t go unnoticed by Bangkok press.
Saksi Ketsikaew, the honest driver, returned 8.2 kilograms of gold in cardboard boxes to the gold seller who had been on a shopping trip in Bangkok.
Ekarat Kanokwannakorn the gold trader was happy at the return of the gold and did not press charges. Instead he gave the cabbie two necklaces valued at $10,000.
