As Police Race to the Bank of America, Robber Goes to Police Station and Turns Himself, Money in

 

Gresham,Oregon: Police officer Malaka Kerbs reports that a man walked into the police headquarters in Gresham and turns over a bag of money he claimed to have just liberated from the local Bank of America.

Kerbs goes on to say The suspect, Raymond Knudson, was arrested on suspicion of bank robbery. The McDonald´s bag full of cash was actually turned in to Sgt. Jerry Harris in the police lobby.

The robber had presented the Bank of America bank teller a note asking that there be no marked bills or dye packs.

Well after I changed my view to wordwrap I could read the source a bit better (sarcasm @ source). Let me get this straight "Raymond Knudson was arrested for investigation of bank robbery". What kind of charge is that, and what does that mean? I mean from what the source writes he was arrested for attempting to discover a bank robbery? Seriously?
