An employee of Foxconn, Zhang Tingzhen, 26, had suffered an electric shock while repairing a light 12 feet up in the air back in 2011 and since has received five operations, is incontinent, can´t walk or talk right, and has lost his memory.
Due to the injuries sustained in the fall from repairing that light, half of Zhang´s brain has been removed and part of his skull has been replaced with artificial bone. Per Zhang´s doctors, he remains under risk of a brain hemorrhage.
Zhang´s father, Zhang Guangde, said, "They kept sending me SMSs every day to get my son out of hospital and to appear before an injury assessment body or they will stop paying all expenses, including his medical fees and our living expenses."
