Man’s Blood-Alcohol Content Too High for Breathalyzer to Measure

After responding to a woman’s call from Iowa City, Iowa, on friday morning, Police wanted to measure Levi Carter’s blood alcohol content. The woman claimed to be Carter’s passenger and that he had hit a street sign after driving off the road.

Carter was "talking to people that were not there", when they found him. He strongly smelled of alcohol and showed other effects of intoxication. Carter told the police he had drank two Bud Lights, but the breathalyzer couldn’t calculate it.

According to police, he „provided a weak breath into a preliminary breath test and the last reading was .467 before the PBT just read ‘HI.’”

  Was it only the alcohol?
Or a combination cocktail with the additives added to the Bud light beer.
