Pope Francis: Church Can’t Risk Creating Selfish "Little Monster" Priests

The head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis, said, that candidates for the Roman Catholic priesthood should be trained thoroughly, otherwise they could become "little monsters", only focused on their careers.

Besides, they should leave their comfort zone and spend their time among people in the margins of society in order to avoid becoming "abstract ideologists".

As the first non-European pope in 1,300 years, Francis has been reminding nuns, bishops and priests to listen more to the needs of i.e. poor people, than to think about their careers.
