Woman Sues Bank for Declaring Her Dead

Kimberly Haman of St. Louis, Missouri spent nearly a year trying to convince her bank and a major credit bureau that she is alive. Now the 46-year-old files a lawsuit against them for declaring her dead and refusing to correct the mistake.

"She´s contacting them, and saying, ´Excuse me, I´m not dead.´ And even through that process, they continue to report her as deceased," Sylvia Goldsmith, Haman´s lawyer states.

Haman says the problem has blocked her from refinancing her mortgage or getting a new credit card.
