Couple Sue Electric Fence Maker for Injuries to Their Dog

A couple from Dayton, Ohio are to take the makers of the invisible fence they installed on their property to court and want $25,000 in damages for the emotional distress it caused their dog, Boomer.

The golden retriever consistently ran off the family's property. So they installed an underground electric fence with a special collar for the dog. He got a shock everytime he ran over the fence. However it did not stop him escaping.

The fence company then advised them to up the voltage and give the dog 2 collars. Not long later the dog was seen with open wounds on its neck. The couple claim the bad advice caused distress for Boomer.
